Scholar Activities

  • Mandatory internship for PG students during their course of study to provide them hands-on experience in counselling psychology.
  • Based on department`s SOP on Code of Ethics students practice mandatory practice of getting ethics clearance certificate for PG/PH.D Students.
  • Students are trained to prepare research manuscripts using plagiarism detection software which enables them to practice ethically sound research
  • Mandatory PG dissertation for Counselling/Clinical students gain familiarity with the presentation of qualitative and qualitative data in a scientific format.
  • Participation of students in the Extension activities like “Spread a Cheer”, World Mental Health Day Celebration, Service Learning, Community Service in the neighbourhood places thereby   sensitizing them to social issues and holistic development.
  • Participation in School extension activities: With the conduction of this activity our students reported that they learnt how to conduct various Interest Inventories and they also got to know about different domains like Artistic, Scientific, Analytical, Expressive,  Social, Nature,  Clerical, Venturous. Through this exercise our students also gained the knowledge about the interpretation of each field.
  • Field visits to places like St. Thomas School, Sahibabad. Conduction of Group Counselling Sessions for adolescents , Free Minds – Group Counselling for Prisoners for Ghaziabad prison Dasna.
  • Guest lectures, workshops and symposium  like E-workshop on Creating a World of Opportunities, E- Workshop on 'Adapting to the new 'normal': Fostering resilience in virtual campuses, E- Symposium on Opening up a world of opportunities through online counselling: Essential skill and ethics, Guest Session on Temperament: Measurement , Structure Stability and Cultural Correlates, were delivered by national and international resource person for students to have varied exposure in interdisciplinary fields.
  • Alumni interaction sessions with students to give insight on areas of higher education and career prospects
  • The department of Psychology in collaboration with the School of management conducted Virtual International Conference on Building Positive Organizations: Challenges and Opportunities for a Sustainable Future' on 7 November 2020 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Delhi NCR campus.  
  • Movie screening and video competition in association with Psychology Association and Psyfi Movie Club
  • Lifestyle and Wellbeing series focusing on holistic development of faculty and students of the department.
